Let’s face it, aren’t many tennis video games available. Even though that is a big negative, the good thing is that the ones that are available are pretty good. With that said, I will list below the best tennis games available for the Xbox 360.
#1 Top Spin 4
If you are looking for the best tennis game available for the Xbox 360, then Top Spin 4 is a must have. Every aspect of the game is amazing and it basically shames all the other tennis games out there. The game is very intuitive, challenging, fast-paced and you are guaranteed hours upon hours of fun. I can certainly say, that it is by far the best tennis game that has ever been made. So based on that fact, whatever you pay for the game, you are definitely going to get your money’s worth it
#2 Grand Slam Tennis 2
Grand Slam Tennis 2 is a game with a lot of potential, but it has a long way to go before it challenges Top Spin 4. The game is a mixed bag, as in some instances it can be very technical, while in others feels very arcady. At the end of the day, the game is very fun to play and you can just turn it on and be totally immersed enjoying what the game has to offer. With this games, you will get something that is not too technical and will offer great entertainment value.
#3 Virtua Tennis 4
Virtua Tennis 4 is a fun game that you can just pick up and play. It is not a match to the awesome Top Spin 4, but it is also not a horrendous game. If you buy this game, it is going to be an enjoyable experience as it is solid. If you are buying this to play with Kinect, fuggedaboutit, with Kinect it plain ol sucks.
#4 Sega Superstar Tennis
If you are a fan of Sega, then I can guarantee that you are going to love Sega Superstar Tennis. You can play using a variety of popular Sega characters Sonic, Tails AiAi and much more. You can play on different courts and the game is just all round fun. It is not an intense tennis game, like Top Spin 4 or Virtua Tennis 4, but if you like Sega nostalgia and use the characters to play tennis, then this game is good to go.
#5 Top Spin 3
Top Spin 3 is an exciting and fun game to play. Nonetheless, it is outdated and newer version is available. It is a good game to get, if you are looking to build out your Xbox tennis game collection.
#6 Virtua Tennis 3
Even though it is an older game, Virtua Tennis 3 is still pretty good. There is a newer version available, so it really wouldn’t make any sense getting this game, unless it was EXTREMELY CHEAP, like $1.
#7 Top Spin 2
A couple of years ago, Top Spin 2 was considered to be the best tennis game on the market. Fast forward a couple years later and there are so many tennis game options available. Top Spin 2 should really be an option if you get it as a gift or you are purchasing it for nostalgic reasons.
#8 Smash Court Tennis 3
I needed to round out my list and as such, I added Smash Court Tennis 3. Really and truly, if you’re looking for a good tennis game, then this should not even be a consideration. There are so many better options, it would be quite foolish to pick this game up.
